pacu9 Beautiful and soothing, just what I need in today’s world. It’s evocative, maybe even a little sentimental, but never too sweet. Gives me hope. Everything I’ve heard from him has been great.

Paul Asbury Seaman Tom Lindsey's music strikes a nice balance of soothing and interesting, with some beautiful textures, less "field recordings" (ugh!) than actual acoustic instruments, incl. bells. So much ambient music is either dark or boring ("droning" attempts) or blandly positive (attempts to be uplifting). This is a fabulous, and generous, intro. to Tonepoet, seemingly made just for this difficult time. [writing in April 2020]

In the Treeeees This is worth a listen, and some of your hard-earned money. There's just so much music here, though the sheer size of the collection does not diminish its quality. Favorite track: (E)ast.

Berkdrums What a huge treat... One of the first albums I bought on BC was Thomas’ amazing dreamy alias Tonepoet... Now years later of course this is a huge gift. A monster-collection of beautiful immersive floating ambient, that soothes the soul, cleanses the mind. Beautiful story on how this collection came to live.. Ambient-aficionados of all forms and sizes: leave a small contribution, so we can keep enjoying Thomas’ passion, and add this one to your collection... and dream away

about

If you've bought any of my releases (or not), there is NO NEED for you to part with any money to own this. I am freely gifting this to you all. There are no bonus tracks to buy or anything like that. Along with this release are 2 unreleased tracks that will appear on an upcoming album. This is an excuse for me to bundle those songs along this collection. Read on............

This is a collected set of works over the past however many years that I've been doing this. It is meant to serve as a bit of a sampler of my favorite songs and creations of mine to give listeners a bit of my history. I was recently asked to submit 50 tunes of mine that I felt represented me, and this in turn made me do something that I NEVER do which is listen to my own music. I spend so much time hearing it as I create it that I step away from it once it's finished. Kind of like letting your child go out into the world as you are confident that you did everything you could raising it and providing direction and purpose. In the end, I picked 51 tunes not including the two bonus tracks.

As I listen to everything now, it seems all over the place, but I'm happy about that. I can see how things developed from my humble beginnings. I purposely put the songs in alphabetic order and tagged them with the name of this album to blindly lead listeners on a random journey. I'm happy to have curated this collection for you. Peace.
